Schools
Student Matinee tickets are $15.50 each, which is a tax-exempt rate for school groups. To book tickets, please call the Box Office at 608-588-2361. We recommend calling in the afternoon if possible for a shorter wait. Returning schools may also email requests to [email protected].
Note: The Box Office holds groups of seats for schools for all student matinee performances, which makes it appear that they have limited availability on the seating charts. For up-to-date information and questions about availability, please contact the Box Office.
Student group tickets will be booked based on your estimated number (including students, teachers, chaperones and drivers). A contract must be signed and returned within 4 weeks to confirm your booking.
A final ticket count is due seven days in advance of your performance and cannot drop by more than 20% of your original booking. Full payment must be received no later than the day of your performance.
Homeschools
Student Matinee tickets are $16.35 each (tax included) for homeschool students, teachers and chaperones. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Box Office at 608-588-2361. They must be paid for at the time they are ordered. Homeschool tickets are non-refundable, but may be exchanged to another student matinee performance by contacting the Box Office no later than the day before your current performance by 4:00 pm, in accordance with our standard exchange policies.
Please note, children under the age of six are not permitted in the theater.
A number of scholarship tickets are available to school groups. These grant-funded tickets help make attendance affordable for your students. Please contact the Box Office to inquire about availability, or you may request scholarship tickets when booking.
Talk Backs are available after Student Matinee performances. Please let the Box Office know in advance if you plan to stay for the 20-minute Talk Back.
Study guides to accompany A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Winter's Tale will be available in early September. Study guides include summaries, character descriptions, videos, podcasts and background information about the play help your students engage with rich, poetic language of APT's Shakespeare productions.
Past study guides are available on APT's Resources page.
Student groups are welcome to attend regularly scheduled APT performance from June through October.
Discounted tickets are available for student groups (with a minimum of 15 people) for select performances.
