MEET THE MUSICIANS

4H
John Haarbauer, Dave Hopper, Ned Hodgson, and Mark Hubanks make up the group 4H. Their music is acoustic folk-rock, covering songs from the '60s and '70s.

Paul Bentzen and Doug Lloyd
Paul Bentzen and Doug Lloyd have been making music together for over twenty years. They play a combination of traditional and modern bluegrass, old-time country, and old string band tunes from the Southern mountains. With Paul on 5-string banjo and vocals and Doug on guitar, they strive to keep alive that fine old summer tradition of front porch pickin' and singin'.

KG & The Ranger
Celebrating 30 years of Classic Cowboy Music, KG & The Ranger continue their mission to keep vintage cowboy songs alive! "They sing with charm and style, yodel spectacularly, choose great material, and write fine new songs as well" (Ranger Doug, Riders in the Sky). Voted 2010 "Outstanding Entertainer-Duo" by the Western Music Association, and three-time harmony yodeling champions, they will take you on a magical journey back in time to the days of the Silver Screen heroes like Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and the Sons of the Pioneers. KG & The Ranger will bring back memories - but also make you feel that you are hearing these songs for the first time!

Mark Browning Milner
Mark Browning Milner is a pop-jazz-rock-r&b-blues-folk-American-songbook singer-guitarist who takes classy and mellow songs from the 40s through the 70s and makes them his own. He was born and raised in Marion, Ohio (a nice place to be from) which was also home to Warren G. Harding, Rod Serling, John Dean, and Gerry Mulligan, all of whom considered influences. His repertoire includes material from Leonard Cohen, Taj Mahal, The Beatles, Rodgers & Hart, Nick Lowe, The Doors, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Jimmy Buffett, Steely Dan, Don McLean, The Gershwin Brothers, Little Feat, Howlin’ Wolf, The Grateful Dead, Joni Mitchell, Bobby Dylan, Bobby Darin, Bobby Troup, Bobby Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, and Britney Spears. (And Groucho Marx - no kidding!). He has entertained audiences from the gulf shores of Alabama to the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico, from the southwest of Texas to the upper Midwest of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and all points between and betwixt. When MBM hits the stage, anything can happen. (Sometimes the stage hits back.) Come see for yourself.

McCarty & Sanyer Violins
Leyla and Maureen are the two violinists of the Madison-based Camerata String Quartet. Maureen worked with great joy as an APT musician for five seasons during the early years when musicians were part of the APT staff. Both Leyla and Maureen have been involved in playing and teaching violin in Wisconsin since their youth, and are fond of performing an eclectic mix of appealing music.

Nath Dresser
Nath Dresser has been writing songs and performing since back when he lived in the Carolinas. For the past twenty-some years he’s been living in Wisconsin, playing in venues ranging from cafes and house concerts to the Sh*tty Barn, a summer music venue in Spring Green. Nath’s original works are mostly finger-picked story-songs in the folk or Americana vein; he also covers tunes by songwriters such as Michael Hurley, Richard Thompson, and Warren Zevon. These days he lives in Spring Green with his wife, son, and three cats. You can learn more about his work as both a singer-songwriter and photographer at www.nathdresser.com.

Scott Stieber and Don Myers
Don is a two-time inductee of the Iowa Rock’n’Roll Music Association Hall of Fame (2009 and 2016). He moved to Wisconsin in 2010, then met Scott, who has graciously included Don in his (formerly) solo shows ever since. Scott is just this guy who likes to play music, especially with The Donmeister.

Tom Waselchuk, guitarist
Singer. Songwriter. Band leader. Producer. Tom has lead the Dang-Its (Americana) since 1998, presented Sweet Dreams & Honky Tonks (a classic country music revue) since 2012, toured the US and Far East with Harmonious Wail (Gypsy swing, 2001-2011), and free-lances in many music genres: jazz, bluegrass, country, Irish, and folk music. Tom currently performs with his Americana vocal group, The Honey Pies.

The Westerlies
Charlene Adzima and Bob Newton are members of a band performing Irish traditional music called West Wind; as duos or trios, we are The Westerlies. Featuring Charlene Adzima on fiddle and vocals and Bob Newton on octave mandola and mandocello, we are sometimes joined by Kara Rogers on concertina. We have been playing Irish traditional music together for countless years in sessions and in concert.
