Director Tyrone Phillips (“The Royale,” 2023) returns to American Players Theatre for the company’s fall production in the indoor, 200-seat Touchstone. “Nat Turner in Jerusalem” stars Gavin Lawrence as an enslaved preacher who believes he is led by God to deliver his people. The play finds him on the eve of his execution, asking: who writes the story of a life wrongfully taken? Tickets at 5950 Golf Course Road in Spring Green cost $73-$110.
