Tell us how you got into the B&B Biz!

The Silver Star opened in 1995 as an Inn and a restaurant, and eventually transitioned to be just a Bed and Breakfast. Kevin and Elise Dallman (that's us!) bought the Silver Star in 2017, after sending the kids off to college and choosing to leave lifelong corporate careers in the Milwaukee area. The idea of running our own business and entertaining guests on a daily basis appealed to us.

Why is your B&B the place to stay for people visiting Spring Green?

Our 10 room inn is a home-away-from-home for our guests, the majority of whom attend the American Players Theatre at least once while they are visiting us. We keep our visitors up to date on the latest events, restaurants, and shopping in the area, referring them to local businesses as often as we can.

What's special about the Silver Star?

We are situated on 70 acres of woods and prairie, with numerous hiking trails throughout. Like the theatre, we are surrounded by the sounds, sights, and smells of nature which attract those who want to escape city life for a few days.
