Tell us the history/story behind the Iron Amethyst?
We have been searching for a bed and breakfast for more than 20 years, traveling to bed-and-breakfasts for our anniversary for 26 years to get a feel for what we like. And The Iron Amethyst represents everything we love in a getaway. We love to host and entertain, so we opened the 2One speakeasy and beer garden as a way for the general public and community to experience the bed-and-breakfast even if they're not staying the night. Justin loves to cook and Jennifer loves to decorate and design. We purchased the bed-and-breakfast in July 2019 and opened the doors November 2019. We made it through COVID, even though we had just opened a few months before, and now we're looking forward to serving guests for years to come.

How does your Inn fit into the community?
The Iron Amethyst Inn is a bed-and-breakfast offering five rooms, all of which have a luxury bathroom and whirlpool room. The bed-and-breakfast is an 1865 Italianate located right on the Black Earth Creek in Mazomanie, Wisconsin. We have a speakeasy, which is a step back in time, serving prohibition-style drinks, and everything, from the décor to the the music and, of course, the drinks, reflects that era. We also have a large beer garden set into a beautiful garden about about a half acre with a hammock haven, with some areas overlooking the creek. Mazomanie is a quaint small town with a lot to offer.

Why is the Iron Amethyst unique?
We're here to create an experience for you, not just a stay. We want our guests to feel like they've stepped back in time, and enjoy everything we have to offer inside the bed and breakfast, and outside on the beautiful grounds.
