New stage at American Players Theatre offers more opportunities

Perched on Brenda DeVita’s office windowsill are two contrasting pieces of wood. One has faded from gray to a faint silver while the other has a fresh rich tone which DeVita classifies as “kind of gray with a lot of colors in it.”

American Players Theatre’s old outdoor stage no longer served its function. It was rotting, falling apart and needed to be demolished despite how much the staff loved it.
