Thanks and Ever Thanks: Sally and Ken Urban

A blog series offering an introduction to some of our friends and donors who help keep APT vibrant.

Ambassadors for APT

Sally and Ken Urban from Freeport, Illinois have been enjoying APT since 1982.

'Our first APT performance was The Taming of the Shrew with Randall Duk Kim. We didn't realize at the time that APT was just in its third season. We became regular followers in the late '80s when we built our cabin outside Spring Green.'

For a few years they would come by themselves, but now they bring different sets of friends with them throughout the summer, introducing them to all that APT has to offer. They listen to 'Talkbacks to Go' on the way to Spring Green and often picnic before the performance. 'We're delighted that several of these friends have begun coming on their own and have brought others with them. I must share that our friends have a running argument about the existence of the whippoorwill!"

Do they have a recent favorite production? 'Oh, there are so many! We did really love Much Ado About Nothing - the terrific team of Colleen Madden and David Daniel had us in stitches!' And, in addition to the support they provide as ambassadors for APT, they are also donors. 'We simply love attending and are thrilled that our vacation home is in an area with so much to offer. And, of course, it is great fun to get to the know cast members and feel as though they're extended family - even the ones we haven't met!'

Thank you, Ken and Sally, for all you do to support APT and acquaint friends and family to what APT has to offer.
