The Experience

We provide our guests with more than a hotel room, we provide a cozy, homey atmosphere that makes them want to stay awhile. The Silver Star is a place where people kick off their shoes, help themselves to a beverage and freshly baked cookies, and settle in on the front porch. From our wrap around deck guests admire the extensive gardens and watch the amazing display of the dozens of hummingbirds who return each year.

As a hub for avid theatre goers, our Inn creates new friendships and the feeling of a family gathering. We love to see our guests strike up conversations about the plays they've seen over a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, or breakfast on the front porch. Bonding over the theatre turns complete strangers into friends and family, and nothing makes us happier than welcoming our guests back year after year.

People love that we remember their names and the last time they visited. Most of our business comes from repeat visitors, who then bring friends and family to share the experience with. We have a saying here: "You arrive as guests, you leave as friends, and you return as family." We think that sums up the relationships we have formed perfectly!

The Community

The Silver Star checks all the boxes as a place to stay in the River Valley. We feel the Inn is more of an experience, than just a place to stay. When it was built nearly 30 years ago, the owners had the forethought to embrace nature and we have expanded upon that with our breakfasts by serving homegrown produce and fresh eggs from our own chickens for breakfast.

We feel our success comes from providing the personal touch. The comfortable environment, beautiful surroundings, and delicious food make our guests feel welcome. Every time a guest walks through the front door, it's as though we are welcoming friends to our home (and we are)!
