What does River Arts Gallery offer, and why is it special to you?
A non-profit arts organization, River Arts Inc's mission is to inspire, enrich, and educate the community through the arts. We achieve that goal by programming 50-80 events annually including a professional performing arts series, both professional and student art exhibits, a house concerts series, arts and crafts fair, art workshops, art openings, and more! We also are instrumental in bringing artwork and amenities to the Great Sauk State Trail and assist other community organizations with their arts/events needs. We love being a part of our community and providing high quality arts opportunities for everyone!
What will customers love most about it?
Customers will enjoy the wide variety of arts programming that we offer. If you love live music, we offer intimate concerts featuring local musicians, outdoor night market entertainment, as well as touring acts in our 500 seat theater. If you love art, we are proud to represent 35 incredibly talented local artists at our downtown gallery. Available artwork changes regularly and features everything from paintings and photography to sculpture, jewelry, and pottery! If you love creating, our studio space is the perfect fit for you. We have workshops for every skill level and budget!
Tell us a little about how River Arts was founded?
River Arts Inc. (RAI) was founded in 1997 to raise funds to build the River Arts Center, a 500 seat theater with attached exhibit space. When that task was completed in 2000, we became a presenting organization. In 2011, we opened River Arts on Water Gallery in downtown Prairie du Sac featuring all local artists. In 2017, we opened our studio space to teach art classes for all ages and levels of experience. Today, we program 50-80 events annually including a professional performing arts series, both professional and student art exhibits, a house concerts series, arts and crafts fair, art workshops, art openings, and more! We also are instrumental in bringing artwork and amenities to the Great Sauk State Trail and assist other community organizations with their arts/events needs.
