Tell us a little about the tour! What does it offer, and why is it special to you?
The Fall Art Tour is three-day tour exploring the working studios of over 50 unique artists. During the three-day tour, artists will be in their studios, demonstrating and selling their work. These artisans include painters, sculptors, potters, weavers, jewelers, woodworkers, mixed-media artists, and more. Many of these studios are open only for this event – providing a unique opportunity to meet the artists and purchase their work.

Please join us on a drive through the beautiful autumn countryside during this once-a-year event that includes a rare glimpse into the restored breweries, one-room schoolhouses, and historic storefronts where some of Wisconsin's best-known artists work.

What is the history of the tour? When was it established, and where did you get the idea?
The Fall Art Tour began in October 1994. Initially the tour represented 27 artists but it has grown into something much bigger since then. This year, 2022, marks the 29th annual tour and it now hosts over 50 working artists in Mineral Point, Spring Green, Dodgeville, and Baraboo and the countryside in between.

What will visitors enjoy most about the tour, and why?
Visitors of the Fall Art Tour will enjoy a behind the scenes look into some really interesting one-of-a-kind studios and learning about how different art is created. Visitors will enjoy live demonstrations at each studio stop on the tour and are able to ask questions and learn tips and tricks of the trade in a one on one, face to face environment.

Tell us about how the Fall Art Tour fits into and/or enhances your community.
The third full weekend each October, some of Wisconsin's best-known artisans open their studios, allowing visitors a unique, behind-the-scenes view into how their work is created. Each year, the Fall Art Tour draws visitors from all over the country to artists' studios tucked away in the scenic hills in and around Wisconsin's art communities of Mineral Point, Spring Green, Dodgeville, and Baraboo.
