ASL Interpreter

Timothy Mumm

Tim has worked as an ASL interpreter for over 40 years. While primarily community-based, he has also interpreted performances at many venues throughout Milwaukee and Madison as well as at ATP, interpreting everything from improv to children’s theater to opera to Shakespeare. Tim was a backstage interpreter for Children’s Theater of Madison’s production of Stellaluna, providing support for the show’s Deaf/hearing cast. He has directed, acted, and written for the stage. His most recent work, 50 (or so) Steps, was featured in Forward Theater’s 2023 Monologue Festival. Tim is thrilled to be part of the support team for APT’s Romeo and Juliet. He believes that creativity is a spiritual experience for all of us.
