Darragh Kennan Darragh is delighted to return for his tenth season with American Players Theatre. Favorite APT roles over the years include Edmund in Long Day’s Journey Into Night, Dromio of Ephesus in The Comedy of Errors, Gunner in Misalliance, Cholly Lomax in Major Barbara, Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Flutter in The Belle’s Stratagem, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Claudio in Measure for Measure, and Fool in King Lear. This past winter Darragh played Hamlet for Seattle Shakespeare Company (Seattle Footlight award for best lead actor), and Antipholus of Syracuse for The Folger Theatre in Washington, D.C. Work at other theatres include: A Conservatory Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, The Guthrie Theatre, Madison Repertory Theatre, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, Seattle Repertory Theatre, A Contemporary Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Theatre, Strawberry Theatre Workshop, Capitol Hill Arts Center, Tacoma Actor’s Guild, Willamette Repertory Theatre, First Stage Milwaukee. Darragh is a Co-Founder of New Century Theatre Company in Seattle, WA and a teacher for the Freehold Theatre Lab. Thanks to Jessica, Máire, and Finn for being the best family a guy could ask for.
