Charence Higgins

Charence Higgins is a Mississippi native who has a deep passion for storytelling, community building, and liberation! She holds Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Theatre from Jackson State University and an MFA in Acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has shared her talents on stage at the Alliance Theatre, Theatre at Monmouth, the Smithsonian Institute, Baltimore Center Stage, and New Stage Theater among many others and is beyond excited to make her debut at American Players Theatre. Past roles include Black Mary in Gem of the Ocean, Lily in Crumbs from the Table of Joy, and Miss Evers in Miss Evers Boys.
