This will be Brenda’s 32nd season with APT. In 1995 she began as Company Manager and was quickly promoted to Casting Director, then to Associate Artistic Director in 2004 and lastly Artistic Director in 2014. Brenda was instrumental in creating APT’s Core Acting Company, the Apprentice program and the Voice & Text department. APT Directing credits; Picnic, Dancing at Lughnasa, Proof, Love's Labour's Lost, A Doll’s House, Part 2, Born Yesterday, Shakespeare’s Will, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Year of Magical Thinking and Mary’s Wedding. Others include: Shakespeare’s Will, IRT; The Other Place, Forward Theater; and The Seagull, UCSD. Brenda was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Ripon College and was the recipient of the 2023 Peter Capell Award for Midwestern Creativity & Entrepreneurship. Brenda dedicates this season to her beautiful kids Gale and Sophia to whom she is eternally indebted to for gracefully sharing their entire childhood with the APT family.
