Assistant Director, Measure for Measure

Originally from Detroit, MI, Am'Ber received her BFA from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater Actor Training Program. She has also participated in training programs at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Globe Theater in London and LISPA International School for Performing Arts. She has spent the last year as a Multi-Cultural Fellow at Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago where she had the opportunity to work on SYA productions The Crucible and The Burn (world premiere). As a director she has led or assisted on productions at Greenhouse, Penumbra and the Guthrie. Her upcoming projects this season include playing The Lady in Purple in For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf at Penumbra Theater and Assistant Director to Ron OJ Parson on August Wilson’s, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom at Writers Theatre.
