Assistant Director, August Wilson's Fences

Originally from Detroit, MI, Am'Ber received her BFA from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater Actor Training Program. She has also participated in training programs at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Globe Theater in London, and LISPA International School for Performing Arts. She has spen last year as a Multi-Cultural Fellow at Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago where she had the opportunity to work on SYA productions The Crucible and The Burn (world premiere). As a director she has led or assisted on productions at Writers Theater, Steep Theater, Timeline Theater, Greenhouse Theater, Penumbra Theater, and the Guthrie Theater. She is an avid learner has a huge passion for arts education, which is the driving force of her artistic career. Her upcoming projects this season include The LIDINWE at Steppenwolf Theater and School Girls: Or the African Mean Girls Play at The Goodman.
