Today at APT - 58 days to open

Mary Rowe, the gift shop manager, got a great shipment of jewelry in today. They call it the 'hug jewelry'... because they loved it so much that they hugged the artist after they placed the order. By the way, Mary will soon be starting her own blog to tell you more about what's in store at the gift shops this season. Maintenance will be doing a controlled burn of the prairie area in front of and around Touchstone, behind Gateway, and in front of Bravo (our office building) this Saturday. All permits and safety precautions are in place. Now it just needs to not rain. Thursday is development staff meeting day. They're gearing up for a big season too - lots of appreciation events to plan. They are also getting the next fundraising letter ready to go (you might be hearing from them soon). The box office is busy again today, and hopefully will be even busier tomorrow. Staff has been warned that their phone lines may be unavailable at times tomorrow because all lines will be full of calls going to the box office. It's a sacrifice everyone is happy to make. On the production side, today Michael Broh (our production manager) was looking into the licensing rights for Always by Irving Berlin. He was also negotiating with a furniture company to procure a used sofa-and negotiating with a designer to agree to a style that's within the budget. And that's Today at APT.
