Samantha Martinson (assistant director and associate artist) is a Midwest-based director and theater practitioner. Most recently she directed staged readings of Nick Green's Casey and Diana for APT's Winter Words Series and May Treuhaft-Ali’s ESCAPEGOAT at the Jungle Theater for their BOLD New Works Series. Upcoming: she will be directing She Kills Monsters at First Stage. Select assistant directing credits: A Year with Frog and Toad at the Tony award winning Children’s Theater Company in Minneapolis under Artistic Director Peter Brosius and Lauren Gunderson’s world premiere, Artemisia, with Artistic Director Jen Uphoff-Gray at Forward Theater. Select directing credits include: fml: how Carson McCullers saved my life (Carthage College); The Wolves (Marquette University); ‘Neath the Hills of Bastogne (Sunstone Studios MKE); At the Gate (Forward Theater’s Monologue Festival); The Tempest (Mad Rouges); Twelfth Night (Milwaukee Youth Theater); Leona Lionheart Saves the World (Kohl’s Wild Theater).
