Leigh Whisenant

Leigh is a Madison native, born and raised on the west side, meaning her first APT experience was a school trip to Romeo & Juliet (in the rain). She graduated from UW-Milwaukee's Interpreter Training Program in 2017 and has since discovered a passion for performance work, ranging from concerts to musicals, comedy to magic, and beyond. Her love of performance interpreting led to her founding a performance interpreting-specific company, and taking on as many shows as physically possible. Leigh loves the creativity required to help create a truly immersive experience, and the collaboration that allows for an interpretation that matches each artist's intent. She also somehow finds time to wrangle her wildly creative children (ages 4 and 6) while renovating her childhood home with her husband, Joel.
