Laura returns to APT, having previously directed An Ideal Husband, Edward Albee’s Seascape, The Royal Family and Old Times. Directing credits include: Boeing Boeing (Indiana Rep); The Foreigner, Venus in Fur, Speaking in Tongues, Laurel and Hardy, Almost Maine (Milwaukee Rep); Much Ado About Nothing (Santa Cruz Shakespeare); Amelia, Skin Tight (Renaissance Theaterworks); Measure for Measure, Love’s Labor’s Lost, The Winter’s Tale (Utah Shakespeare Festival); In the Next Room (Actor’s Theatre of Louisville); Red, Going to St. Ives (Forward Theatre); Richard III (Notre Dame Shakespeare); Eurydice (UNLV). She is an Associate Artist at the Milwaukee Rep where she has performed in dozens of productions including Good People, Noises Off, Death of a Salesman, The Lady With All the Answers, Pride and Prejudice, Mary Stuart, and Doubt. She received her MFA in Acting from the University of Iowa. She is a member of both the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and Actors Equity Association. Laura is a proud recipient of a Lunt- Fontanne Fellowship, and is married to APT company member Jonathan Smoots.
