Carey first joined APT as an actor in 2001 and feels blessed to be a part of APT’s Artistic Leadership. Originally from the East Coast she has settled happily in Spring Green with her husband, Michael Huftile. Carey received her BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University and acted professionally for many years at theatres including, The Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, Writers, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Milwaukee Repertory, Utah Shakespeare, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and Northlight Theatre where she received a Joseph Jefferson award nomination. She has previously served as APT’s Company Manager and feels very fortunate to continue her work with this extraordinary company for this unparalleled audience in this beautiful place. She would like to thank you from the bottom of her very full heart for your faith in this theatre and for your unwavering love of stories old and new.
