Information about COVID-19

In light of the ongoing pandemic, and for the safety of us all, we have made the painful decision to cancel APT’s 2020 season. With so much research garnering so few answers, and knowing that venues hosting large public gatherings will be among the last to reopen, we do not see a path to a summer season this year. The 2020 plays will be moved to the 2021 season, and if we are somehow able to safely produce plays later this year, we will do so.

As of 10:00 am April 13, APT has announced a delay to the season, and taken regular season tickets off sale as we review the schedule. Play Passes are now available for people who want to ensure a spot at APT in the 2020 or 2021 season. 


Following Governor Evers' "Safer at Home" policy, there will be no one at APT's front desk and phones are all directed to voicemail. 

Box office staff is working from their respective homes. If you have questions about anything, including exchanges, please email boxoffice@americanplayers.org and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. 


In accordance with COVID-19 containment plans, we unfortunately must cancel our Winter Words reading of Agamemnon, scheduled for April 6.  

Agamemnon Ticket Holders
You may exchange your Agamemnon ticket for a ticket to any performance in the 2020 season. If you would prefer a refund, we will provide one to you. Or, if you're able, we would be very grateful if you would consider donating the value of your ticket. Unexpected loss of income can be devastating for arts organizations and the artists and artisans we employ. Donations of any amount are welcome and vital during this uncertain time.

Information Regarding COVID-19 

The health and well being of our staff and audience is always of utmost importance. We are closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 in our community and paying close attention to the recommendations of local, state and federal health authorities. We understand, as you do, that this is a situation that is rapidly changing. 

We are also looking ahead and making preparations for our 2020 season. Should a cancellation of any APT performance become necessary, we will offer refunds or exchanges for a future performance. We will be in close contact with ticket holders as we get closer to the season.

In the meantime, all APT staff members who are able to work from home are doing so. Other staff members are practicing recommended hygiene and social distancing measures in our facilities. 

Box office and operations are up and running, and tickets are on sale for the 2020 season for returning ticket buyers.
