Join us in the Star Tent in the picnic area to dive deeper into the plays with lively discussions with experts, artists and staff. Each talk relates to one of this season's plays and lasts about an hour.
We are delighted to announce a new event in our “Beyond the Plays” engagement series. Susan Coyne, whose adaptation of Three Sisters is now running at APT, will join us for a conversation with Artistic Director Brenda DeVita.
Susan is renowned as the co-creator and co-writer of the internationally acclaimed TV series Slings and Arrows. The series centers around the fictional New Burbage Festival, A Shakespearean theater festival loosely based on the Stratford Festival (and maybe also reminds us a little bit of APT). Slings and Arrows became a cult hit, especially for Shakespeare fans. The series ran three seasons and won 13 Gemini Awards (the Canadian equivalent of an Emmy Award).
Brenda will talk to Susan about her version of Three Sisters and also about her career, including her work on Slings and Arrows.
Tickets for the event are limited and are now on sale for $5.00 each (complimentary for APT Insiders).
