Reginald André Jackson

Reginald is a resident of the Pacific Northwest and Core Company member of Act Contemporary Theatre. He played Macbeth for longtime APT director John Langs, in October. Other favorite roles include Aufidius in The Shakespeare Theatre’s Coriolanus, Wolf in Arena Stage/Seattle Repertory Theatre’s Two Trains Running, and Chris Keller in Intiman’s All My Sons. Reginald is a 2019 Lunt-Fontanne 10 Chimneys Fellow.

As playwright, his stage adaptation of Christopher Paul Curtis’ Bud, Not Buddy received the American Alliance of Theater and Education’s Distinguished Play Award. Director Marion McClinton cast APT actor Nathan Barlow (then teenaged) in the lead role at The Children’s Theatre Company, in Minneapolis. Reginald’s History of Theatre Part I: About, By, For, and Near debuted February 2023 at Act Contemporary Theatre. He is a 2019 Lunt-Fontanne 10 Chimneys Fellow.

I welcome the opportunity to climb into APT’s artistic sandbox, to create, to work, and to play with this team of storytellers, and then to share that play with you.
