David Daniel

This is David's 27th season at APT, where he serves as a Core Company member and Education Director. Earlier this year he and Colleen reunited with their 2014 Beatrice and Benedick in Forward Theatre’s world premiere of Lauren Gunderson’s Lady Disdain. He has appeared in more than fifty Shakespeare productions over his career, ranging from Peter to Benedick and from Murder #2 to a polka-dotted Falstaff. He directed last year’s double-Puck Midsummer with a stellar cast. His play Before the Mountains of Madness received a stunning premiere at Two Crows Theatre in January, and his Roses and Ruses was selected as a finalist in the Wisconsin Wrights New Play Festival for 2026. David is passionate about theatre that invites conversation and connection. His plays and adaptations can be found at david-daniel.net.
