A.C.T. Camp

Act Camp Banner

A.C.T. Camp in person is back!

"...they all want to play Hamlet because it is sad like all actors are sad and to stand by an open grave with a joker's skull in the hand and then to say over slow and say over slow wise, keen, beautiful words masking a heart that's breaking, breaking,

This is something that calls and calls to their blood.

They are acting when they talk about it and they know it is acting to be particular about it and yet: They all want to play Hamlet."

- Carl Sandburg

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark! This 2022 season, APT proudly presents one of the western canons finest plays, William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. What better way for our young company to celebrate and perform than with their own APT A.C.T. Camp production?

Join us for an intense week of classical actor training. Spend your week being taught, directed, and hanging out with some of the best classical actors in the country where you’ll explore voice, text, movement, etiquette, and how to forge your own path ahead. Our week ends with an hour-long cutting of Hamlet, performed on the APT stage for your family and friends.

Come join us this summer.

The play’s the thing!

- David Daniel, APT Education Director
