The Touchstone Campaign

In January 2008, APT kicked off The Touchstone Campaign in an effort to raise $5 million for a new indoor theater and expanded production facilities. 

In Summer 2009, a mere 30 months later, APT opened the 200-seat Touchstone Theatre and the Alpha Production Center.

The Touchstone Theatre has allowed APT to expand its season from five plays to eight productions, add more than 50 performances to the schedule, and further fulfill and build on our mission.

The Alpha Center includes a dedicated shop for painting scenery, a new scene shop (freeing up the former scene shop for much-needed storage), an additional rehearsal hall and additional office space. Read more about the story of Touchstone here.

The Touchstone Theatre is already making APT a more exciting and vibrant organization. Here we can share work we've been longing to do, but that demands a more intimate environment than Up the Hill. This new venture, this dream, has only been possible with the generous support of hundreds. We are so close to full funding, we need just one more push. Breathe Life Into a Stone

With a $1,000 contribution to the Touchstone Campaign, receive a PAVER for the front walkway. Celebrate your own APT tradition, honor or remember a loved one or set your favorite Shakespeare quote in stone. Whatever your message, you'll add your words to the millions that have been spoken on this land over the years.

Have a Seat

For a contribution of $2,000 we'll inscribe a SEAT PLAQUE in the Touchstone Theatre with your message. If you'd like, you can even specify the seat you want to sponsor. (Based on availability. Only 150 seat plaques are still available).

Give an Enduring Gift

Gifts of $5,000 and above will be honored on a PERMANENT DISPLAY in the Touchstone Theatre lobby.
