Working with a Guest Artist in Your Classroom

If you are a teacher who has never had the opportunity of working with an APT Guest Artist in your classroom, you’re bound to have questions. This FAQ helps explain the role of the APT Guest Artist, and addresses questions and concerns you may have about Guest Artists and APT Education in general.

Meet APT Education Director David Daniel

David Daniel has been APT’s Education Director since 2001 and has led programs for more than 9,000 students in elementary, middle and high schools across Wisconsin and beyond. In his more than fifteen years of education experience, David has led workshops for pre-K through lifelong learners. He has created and led teacher In-Service Training sessions for employing theater techniques in the classroom, including the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Professional Development Opportunities for Teachers program. 2010 is David’s eleventh season as a core acting company member at APT. He has performed in 25 of Shakespeare’s plays in almost 50 productions. He holds an MFA from the University of Delaware. He is the primary teaching artist for APT’s Potency of Poetry program, and trains all of APT’s teaching artists.
