Education

Education is integral to APT's mission. Through our many programs and performances, APT has become recognized throughout the region for bringing the classics to students of all ages.

Lessons in Life and Language

APT’s educational programming inspires students to revel in language. We offer a variety of programs, both on the APT campus and in the classroom, that support educators with tools and techniques to foster students' exploration.

A.C.T. Camp

Acting for Classical Theatre: APT's exclusive weeklong summer camp experience for students 13-17.

Student Matinee Series

Each September and October, APT holds over a dozen performances of regular-season, mainstage productions, performed during the school day at our beautiful outdoor theater. 2013 brings two student matinee selections to our Up-the-Hill Theatre - The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Hamlet.  In addition, we're offering one performance of Antony and Cleopatra in the Touchstone Theatre as a student matinee selection.

Potency of Poetry

Potency of Poetry, our flagship education residency, invites students to confront language and discover what it offers them. This in-classroom program goes beyond "decoding" language to make it personal, purposeful, provocative and entertaining for the students.

Other Residencies

In addition to Potency of Poetry, APT offers a host of other workshops and residencies. From Shakespeare to creative dramatics, APT has a program to enrich your classroom.
