Laura Gordon is very happy to return to APT, having directed Harold Pinter’s Old Times in the Touchstone in 2009. Recent directing credits include: In the Next Room or the vibrator play (Actors Theatre of Louisville and Milwaukee Rep); The Winter’s Tale (Utah Shakespeare Festival); Twelfth Night (Optimist Theatre); Speaking in Tongues, Laurel and Hardy, Almost, Maine, Edward Albee’s Seascape, Half Life, I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given to Me By a Young Lady From Rwanda (Milwaukee Rep); Going to St. Ives (Forward Theater); Well (Milwaukee Chamber Theatre); Skin Tight, Memory House, Full Gallop (Renaissance Theaterworks.) She has been a member of the resident acting company at the Milwaukee Rep since 1993, performing in dozens of productions including Death of a Salesman, The Lady With All the Answers, Pride and Prejudice, Mary Stuart, and Doubt. She received her MFA in Acting from the University of Iowa, and is a proud recipient of a Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship. Laura is married to APT company member Jonathan Smoots.
