Josh Schmidt returns for his 23rd season at APT after recently designing Tribes, and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Other recent APT credits include The Liar, The Brothers Size, An Iliad (2015 + 2021), to name a few. Other recent credits include Mr. Wolf (Steppenwolf), Dial M for Murder, (Drury Lane), Swing State, Boswell, (Next Act) among many others. On Broadway his designs include Bug, Therese Raquin, House of Blue Leaves and Brighton Beach Memoirs. Josh has designed over 300 productions for companies including Lincoln Center, Atlantic Theatre, Roundabout, Second Stage, (NYC); Steppenwolf Theatre Company, (CHICAGO); Stratford Shakespeare Festival (Ontario, Canada); and Ford's Theatre (Washington DC). Film credits include the songs and score for The End (Final Cut for Real/Neon).
