Director, The Man of Destiny

This is James's 21st production at APT. The Man of Destiny is the fourth play by George Bernard Shaw he has directed here, the others being, Pygmalion, Candida, and Arms and the Man. James has directed 11 Shakespeare productions, most recently As You Like It last summer. Among the other plays he has directed at APT are three by Tom Stoppard, including Arcadia in 2016. James is the Founding Artistic Director of Remy Bumppo Theatre in Chicago where he directed over thirty productions, including six by Stoppard and three by Shaw. He splits his time between Chicago and Spring Green, and is the owner of Arcadia Books.
